D&G Engineering & Consultancy provides the service of the Bitumen testing as per IS/IRC/ MORTH for the Various Road and Highway projects listed below. – Ductility at 25°C – Penetration – Softening Point – Specific Gravity – Absolute Viscosity – Kinematic Viscosity – Flash and Fire Point – Bitumen Extraction and Gradation/ Binder Content – Marshall Stability and Flow Test – Job Mix Design for BM/DBM/BC/SDAC/SDBC as per MORTH/IRC
1. Penetration Test (ASTM D5): Measures the hardness of bitumen by determining the depth in tenths of a millimeter to which a standard needle penetrates the sample under specific conditions of loading, time, and temperature.
2. Softening Point Test (ASTM D36): Determines the temperature at which bitumen softens and can be used as an indication of temperature susceptibility.
3. Ductility Test (ASTM D113): Measures the distance a standard briquette of bitumen will stretch before breaking when pulled at a specified speed and temperature.
4. Flash Point Test (ASTM D92): Determines the temperature at which bitumen gives off vapors that can ignite when exposed to an open flame or spark.
5. Viscosity Test (ASTM D2171): Measures the dynamic viscosity of bitumen at various temperatures to assess flow characteristics.
6. Specific Gravity Test (ASTM D70): Determines the ratio of the density of bitumen to the density of water at a specified temperature.
